    Hi,

i am looking for a possibility to place a widget in the <div id="main"> or main-inner.

Sometimes you have a lot of text in the main content but only one widget - the sidebar looks really empty.
So i would like to float a widget within the main text area.

Doing it with classic method (divs, etc...) seems very inelegant, beside being a pain :-).

    Any suggestions?

    Hello foryourinfo,

You can try this out, http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/custom-widget-area/.

We also have shortcodes of some of the widgets which you can use, http://mysitemyway.com/docs/index.php?title=Widget_Shortcodes.

Is there a specific widget you are wanting to use in the page content?

    HI Elliott,

    thanks for your help.
I needed the shortcode for contact us!
I used your second solution even though it still was a mess because of positioning and styling.
It was the quick and dirty approach here.

Probably in future i have to use a custom-widget to be consistent throughout the site.

    Thanks Tom
