Flickr image resizing

  1. Hi, I love this new theme and am in the process of setting my site with it.
However I've come across a problem which I don't seem to be able to find the solution.

As my blog is picture heavy, I tend to grab the html code off my flickr account and paste it into a blog entry. Something such as this:
    <a href="URL"><img src="URL" width="1024" height="680" ></a>
However the timthumb script doesn't seem to resize the code off flickr and the image still juts out of the 980px boundary even though I have unchecked "Disable Image Resizing" in the menus

As such, is there a way to resize the images automatically to the max width of 928px?

    Hello kodomut,

The timThumb resize script does not let you use images from external URL's. I'm not sure if the Wordpress resize script does the same but you can try switching between the two in Dashboard -> Fusion -> Image Resizing.

If that does not work for you then go ahead and send us a link to your page so we can take a closer look.

  3. Thanks for the prompt reply! I've tried the WP resizer but to no avail either.

If you take a look at the uploaded screenshot, you can see that the 1000px image from flickr is protruding out of the boundary.

Before swapping to fusion, I was using theme called bigfeature which had the ability to force resize external links such as those from flickr.

Thanks for taking a closer look!

    Hello,

I see that you are inserting code like the following:

    <a href="URL"><img src="URL" width="1024" height="680" ></a>

In that case, I think you can manually indicate the dimensions of the picture, by customizing the code:

    <a href="URL"><img src="URL" width="900" height="600" ></a>

Try to do that in your website, and let us know the results.
