    future updates of framework surely will allow to have individual footers per page as almost everything is programmed already, you just have to add the option of putting e newly created sidebar in a different position than the primary sidebar.

    But until then: where can I drop a line of code or a filter or hook or whatever just to enable the footer on the frontpage ( ... if (is_home()) { ... )

    Hello Heli Retzek,

    From what I understand you are wanting to hide the footer everywhere but on the homepage correct?

    Navigate to Dashboard -> Dejavu -> General Settings -> Custom CSS and add this line,

    #footer { display: none; }
    .is_home #footer { display: block !important; }

    If you want to hide the sub footer then you would do this, #sub_footer, and if you only want to hide the footer on a few pages then you would add this inside the page content,

    <style type = "text/css">#footer { display: none; }</style>
