Hello,
Firstly, I am unable to change the footer of the page from the default! How do i go about this? The default was a bunch of links i guess but still wondering how i could change it as i cant see that option in the admin console
Secondly, i created a blog but when i add new posts from the wordpress admin, it doesn't update. . same thing happens to the portfolio. So my question is how do i add new blog posts as well as portfolio items so they show on the main site itself!

Regarding your question about the footer, you have to navigate to the "Widgets" section of your Wordpress admin panel, and add your own widgets to the areas designed for the footer.
About the blog and posts, have you inserted the necessary shortcodes in your pages? That way, you specify the location where the posts and portfolio items will be displayed. You should take a look at these guides, so you can learn how to use those shortcodes:

Hello fayimora,
We need to check 2 things about this issue.
First of all, are you creating the portfolio items correctly? If you create regular posts, the portfolio shortcode won't display them. Take a look at this guide, it might be helpful: http://mysitemyway.com/docs/index.php?title=Using_the_Portfolio
Secondly, could you please paste there the shortcode that you are using to generate the portfolio? So we can check if it's correctly formatted.
