A nice featured post that could match the functionality of the built in popular and recent posts would be nice,.
This widget would work and display just like the other widgets, however it would let you select which catagory to pull posts from. i've tried 3rd party solutions, but they just dont match.
yeah, there probably is. All I get is a spinning loading icon for the images.
aside from that, the formating is off, and options to display the posts exactly as the widgets show them are not the same.
I asked for the ability to select a category on the Recent Posts widget, too, because I like the formatting of that widget. I would actually really like to be able to use that format in a page, as well, so I would really like the ability to use [blog_list] and have it output the same format.
The reason why the image just spins is because of what looks like a bug in the thumbnail generator. That should be reported and fixed as a separate issue.
