Fancy List In Widget Link Color

    Hello,

    I have a number of fancy lists in a number of sidebars, all with individual url links. Is it possible to override the default text link color which I have set for just the fancy lists links in the widgets. I want to keep them the same color as the text itself, not a link color.

    Thanks

    Andrew

    Hello awilson3rd,

    Try placing this in Dashboard -> your theme -> General Settings -> Custom CSS,

    #sidebar .widget a { color: black !important; }

    That will change the link colors in your sidebars to whatever you want.

    Hello Elliott,

    Thanks for the reply. I have tried the code you provided but it isn't working unfortunately. I am using the 'olive' skin and the links in the sidebar content are still showing as the olive color.

    Thanks again

    Try this,

    #sidebar .widget a.olive_sprite { color: black !important; }

    Still the same - defaults to olive.

    Just to advise, I also have the following in my custom css:

    .divider { margin: 0px !important; }
    .divider_padding { padding-bottom: 0px !important; }
    .logo { position: absolute; top: 20px; left: 25px; } .call_to_action { font-family: "Verdana" !important;}
    .call_to_action { height: 14px; font-size: 14px; }

    #sidebar .widget a.olive_sprite { color: black !important; }

    Thanks

    Open up /wp-content/themes/[your_theme]/shortcodes.css and delete line 123,

    .olive_text,.olive_sprite a{color:#3a491a !important;}

    Hello Elliott,

    Just want to confirm that these code changes will only effect the content of the sidebars (links in the sidebars) because I also use fancy links etc in main page content and don't want to change these.

    Thanks

    Hello Elliott,

    Unfortunately since making the suggested changes my accordion text color has changed:

    Any ideas?

    Thanks

    Try removing the !important from line 123,

    .olive_text,.olive_sprite a{color:#3a491a;}

    If that does not work then you'll need to create your own list class.

    I already removed that as you advised in the post yesterday?

    Put it back in and remove the !important as seen in the line in my previous post.

    Tried that - problem is it puts the olive colour back in the widget text links.

    As a workaround is it not possible to just change the font color of the accordion title on a per text basis? Or will the
    code override it?

    Thanks

    It shouldn't be if you have this in your custom CSS section,

    #sidebar .widget a { color: black !important; }

    Hello Elliott,

    Still the same, the links in the sidebar have gone back to olive but the accordion is now back to olive (which is a good thing).

    Thanks

    Hello Elliott,

    Thanks - will do, need to get the site built and then look into it a bit further. Thanks for the time you have spent
    investigating this.

    Hello Elliott,

    Since I upgraded to 1.6 yesterday my accordion text is no longer working with the variation color olive. It has just defaulted back to grey.

    Thanks

    Ignore that, it was in the toggle title font in the skin settings.

    Is that new?

    Thanks
