    In this post i have a few photos, some of them are vertical so i need to set the height and then the max width, so if the photos are vertical it will have less width than the others pics.
    I need this because (as you can see at the end) there are a lot of peoples photos and by default way the thumbnails cut the head and it doesnt look very pretty.
    I think it isnt difficult to get the solution, maybe in some .php file i have to change some lines.
    I will wait for the answer.
    Thanks!

    Hello Victorross,

    The problem is that in some of those photos the heads are being cut off right? It is possible to set the height and width but they will be resized regardless. If you change one then the other has to change as well.

    What I would do is crop them before you upload them or make some of your photos take up the whole space (like how you did with the first photo).

    Hi Elliott! Thanks for the replay, so cant i change the script that do the crop?
    Because as you say, all pics are show by the same size thumbnails, if i have a pic 200x100 and another one 100x200, the thumbnails will show them all 50x50 by cropping them, so i think it is better than resizing the pics because the will loose the aspect.
    Please if there is a file in the awake them that controls the crop let me know so i can look around maybe i can find the solution to make the pics just have MAX WITDH and not REGULAR WIDTH.

    It is possible to crop only a certain area through code but it is very complex and would have to be considered custom work Victorross.

    Other customers end up cropping them manually or using another image for the thumbnail. If using another image for your thumbnail sounds like something you would want to do then let us know and we will walk you through the process.

    Hi Elliot! I just add to images here, the first one "how it looks" is how you can see in my web, and the second one is "how i would like to looks" in my web, what i want to do is to resize height and width both proportional, if the image is 200*100 and then the thumbnails have to be 50*25, and another image is 100*200 the thumbnails have to be 50*100, so that i keep the same HEIGHT for all pics, but it changes the width to be always proportional.
    Please let me know how can i do this, i cant find the way.
    Thanks a lot!

    In this case it would probably be best to just insert your image as it is and add a frame to it,

    <span class = 'frame'><img src = '' width = '' height = '' /></span>

    There is also the [gallery] shortcode but I'm not sure if it will resize the images to how you want them.

    Please take a look at this page http://www.portalcorrientes.com/2010/12/24/revalida-danes/
    Last pic is insert by the code you give me, but as you can see there is no lightbox for the pic, i need it.

    To open it up in a lightbox then surround it with a link like this,

    <a href='IMAGE PATH' rel='prettyPhoto' title=''><span class = 'frame'><img src = '' width = '' height = '' /></span></a>

    Ok, really i think the best solution will be to make to [fancy_images] shortcodes, one for all the horizontal photos and the second one fot the verticals, i dont know, i cant find another solution.
    Thanks!

    I had a similar problem. You could also use a separate cropped thumbnail, its more code, but its a more consistent look.

    <a href="LIGHTBOX URL" rel="lightbox[small_gallery]" style="background: none no-repeat scroll 50% 50% transparent; display: inline-block; height: 128px; overflow: hidden; padding: 0pt 0pt 4px; position: relative; width: 164px;" class="load_img" title="">
    <span id="img2">
    <img src="YOUR HOST/wp-content/themes/awake/lib/scripts/thumb.php?src=THUMBNAIL URL&w=146&h=110&zc=1&q=100" class="framed portfolio_hover" title="" alt="" style="opacity: 1;">
    </span>
    </a>

    I think it will be more easy to make TWO [fancy_images]here goes ALL the vertical photos with the width and height that looks better[/fancy_images] and then the second [fancy_images]here goes ALL the horizontal photos with the widht and height that looks better[/fancy_images]
    As you can see i am going to work with 20 - 50 images per post so i am not going to change each photos to fix better, because i have ONLY TWO ways for fix better, i only have images with more width or with more height, so i separate each one from each other and make TWO groups, then i have only to modify one time the WIDHT AND HEIGHT in EACH FANCY_IMAGES SHORTCODE.
    Thanks for the support.
