Displaying categories on homepage

   is this possible to display list of categories on homepage when sidebar is disabled and blog's posts are enabled ? I tried to use "Custom Homepage Text" and taxonomy shortcode but it is formatted as a tags.

   Are you wanting to display blog posts assigned to a certain category? If so then you'll want to use our blog shortcodes, http://mysitemyway.com/docs/index.php?title=Blog_Shortcode.

   No,

   Just want to display categories i.e. in secion "Custom Homepage Text". I tried to use [tags taxonomy="category"]
   but it is formatted as Tags (different size).

   My blog: http://seo.zgred.pl/ and wnat to display categrioes above the posts in one line.

   So your wanting to display a list of your categories with links to them correct? The category widget does this and there are probably a bunch of plugins which let you do this also, http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/search.php?q=list+categories.

   OK I know new plugin solve my problem but thought there is a shortcode for that - different then taxonomy.

   Anyway thx for your suggest.

   OK solved problem. Manually added links with some [fancy] shortcodes ! :)
