Different Sidebar Widgets Per Category?

   I produce a series of podcasts, and what I would like to do is instead of having the most recent of ALL podcasts as recent posts in a widget, I'd like to separate the podcasts as wordpress categories, and have the most recent of one particular podcast in the sidebar. Can this be done with the custom sidebars?

   Example:

   Podcast A: Blog post // Sidebar widget of 5 recent podcasts in Podcast A
   Podcast B: Blog post // Sidebar widget of 5 recent podcasts in Podcast b

   ...and so on.
