Is there way to set a default for "Add New" Post (blog)?
I see that there is a default for the Blog Page, but I'm talking about the Blog Post (detail)
I would like to set up the page layout (sidebar left), disable intro text and choose a specific Sidebar.
It would be nice to be able to have posts automatically apply my preferences / style, rather than requiring me to set them each time I enter a new blog post.

Go to the theme folder and open the file "lib/admin/options/meta-post.php".
In line #20 you will find this code:
'default' => 'right_sidebar',
Replace it with:
'default' => 'left_sidebar',
In line #71 you will find this code:
'default' => 'default'
Replace it with:
'default' => 'disable'
That will set the layout to a left sidebar and disable the intro.
Regarding the custom sidebar, it won't be possible to set it by default. You still have to select the custom sidebar each time you create a post.
Would this be something I have to add to a child theme file called meta-post.php? And how would I do that?
I've read the file on http://mysitemyway.com/docs/index.php/Using_Child_Themes this but just confuses me as this doesn't look like anything in that tutorial.

btw, there are a number of PHP changes I've made and no child theme. So I'm trying to search through these threads to identify what we've done (together!) so I may have more questions and will resurrect more posts I'm sure... sorry if this is a pain, but I'm clueless here ;)
