Default Footer Widgets Overwrite Changes

   With 6 columns of footer widgets, when I go to add different widgets, the six default widgets always over write the ones I am adding. So I always have the 6 Mysitemyway widgets in the footer. No matter what I do, unless I turn off all widgets.

   Hello lekun,

   When you add footer widgets to the various footer widget areas they are not saving? Let's try the following,

   - Switch to one of the default themes and back to Dejavu
   - Create a backup and then completely delete Dejavu before downloading / uploading a fresh copy
   - Deactivate all plugins
   - Make sure that your using the latest version of Wordpress and that your server is running the latest of PHP and MySQL

   If your still having issues then PM us a Wordpress login and we'll take a closer look.

   I have had the same problem, the solution fixed it last time, I was hoping this wouldnt happen again. What can I do to stop this happening, do you think it could be one of the plugins I use?

   OK, Just tried the process again, disabled dejavu, deleted it. deactivated all plugins, reinstaleled dejavu reactivated plugins.

   Widgets not saving.

   Any suggestions?

   I have the following plugins installed:
   Akismet
   Category Specific RSS Menu
   CDN Sync Tool
   Contact Form 7
   Exploit Scanner
   Facebook Share Statistics
   Full Text Feed
   Google Analytics Dashboard
   Google Analytics for WordPress
   podPress
   Simple Facebook Connect
   Twitter Facebook Social Share
   WordPress SEO
   WP Super Cache
   WPtouch Pro

   OK a bit more research, I disabled every plugin and turned them on one by one. It seems that podPress is the culprit. I have disabled my podcast menu for the time being. Any ideas on how to fix this, alternatively what plugin do you recommend for podcasting?

   Does it work in the default theme? I don't know of any that I can recommend. http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/tags/podcasting
