Can anyone tell me if it's possible and how I could create a new 'profile style' page template in the Awake theme that would let my users create a page with predefined regions using shortcodes already set in the template and possibly custom fields?

I"m creating a site for clients who are need to be able to create multiple pages on the same layout without having the use the shortcodes themselves.

Ideally I'd like to have a page template like the one attached but I'm not sure how to go about putting the shortcodes and custom fields into a new template.

    thanks for any advice

Hello Lionfish, sorry for the late reply.

Yes this is possible. See here for creating your own page templates, http://codex.wordpress.org/Pages#Creating_Your_Own_Page_Templates.

This would have to be considered custom work though.

    Thanks Elliott,

I'm getting there slowly with advanced custom fields and creating a new template to edit the php but think I'll have to create new css to make it work as the shortcodes of course, don't work in the php files.

    Cheers
