  1. Hi,
    Using Fusion Theme ver 2.3
    Website is: http://clearline.workflows-demo.me/
    Problem with copyright text on sub-footer area.
    No CSS has been applied to the sub-footer or changes to the skin.
    Theme is set to be responsive on mobile devices.
    The sub-footer works fine on desktop.
    On an Ipad the copyright sub-footer text does not wrap to the next line in portrait mode.
    On an Iphone the copyright sub-footer text does not wrap and is the wrong font size (much too large)
    Hope you can help.
    Many Thanks
    Regards Mark

    Try adding this to your custom CSS.

    .copyright_text { padding: 10px !important; }

  5. Hi Elliott,
    Thanks for your prompt response.
    Alas no change there - still the same.
    Added to the custom CSS in general ... then tried mobile custom CSS.
    Had no effect unfortunately.
    Anything else I can try?
    Thanks in advance

    Paste the full contents of your custom CSS field here.

  7. Hi Elliot ... full contents of custom CSS and Mobile Custom CSS are ...

    Custom CSS:

    .is_home #content_inner{display: none;}
    #sub_footer a:hover {text-decoration:underline;}
    #sub_footer, #sub_footer a
    {background-color: #00437f;
    color: #fff;}

    Mobile Custom CSS

    @media (max-width: 320px) {
    .logo { position: relative !important; left: 50% !important; margin-left: -105px !important; }
    .flex-next, .flex-prev { display: none !important; }
    #intro .intro_title { display: none !important; }
    }

    .copyright_text { padding: 10px !important; }

    Many Thanks

  8. Hi,
    If I remove half the copyright text then the display on a smartphone completely changes.
    So, to be clear ....
    The original, and required, text I would like to include is:

    © 2014 Clearline. All rights reserved. Clearline Business Consultants Ltd. Registered in England and Wales. Company No: 1234567. Registered Office: 552-554 Bristol Rd, Selly Oak, Birmingham B29 6BD. VAT Reg No: GB 559 2253 26 Site By Workflows

    If I change the copyright text .... to that of below .... the size of the text corrects to the correct size

    Please see attached.

    Thanks Mark

    Try adding the CSS code to the top instead of the bottom.

  10. No change at all I'm afraid

    I added the CSS code to the top (see below) ... which I gather you mean to the top of the Mobile Custom CSS box ....

    .copyright_text { padding: 10px !important; }

    @media (max-width: 320px) {
    .logo { position: relative !important; left: 50% !important; margin-left: -105px !important; }
    .flex-next, .flex-prev { display: none !important; }
    #intro .intro_title { display: none !important; }
    }

    The fact that I can change the length of the text string and this affects the display of that text string markedly would suggest a bug would it not?

    Add it in the custom CSS field, not the mobile field.

  12. Done. No change whatsoever.

    I use all your other themes ... and have not come across the problem.
    I tend to keep things as simple as possible ... the least number of plugins, the least amount of edit changes to the theme ... I'm sure you understand why ;-) Keeps it clean.

    This is odd. Would you like me to do a test wordpress install ... whereby I install the Fusion theme ... and edit nothing except the Copyright Text field?

    See if I can reproduce the problem ... i.e. wrapping not happening on Ipad and wrapping not happening with a font-size increase on smartphone.

    How would you like to proceed?

    Most grateful for your help

    Thanks Mark

  13. I'll try again ...

    The Fusion theme has a problem with the Copyright Text. If the length of the copyright is past a certain length then the function breaks .... as advised clearly in my opening post.

    If it was a case of changing CSS to rectify the problem then I would not bother you.

    However, my instincts tell me it is a bug.

    I am relying on your professional skill and your interest in the performance of your themes to solve this problem.

    I have a client that I am using this theme for. I cannot release a website with such an anomaly.

    Would you be most kind as to respond. I'd be very grateful for your help

    Regards Mark

    I don't know. The css should be working. It's working fine on my end when I add it in firebug.

  15. Hi Elliot,

    Just to be clear ... the problem is with the Fusion theme .... when the setting is "Responsive for mobiles only" ... the copyright text format "breaks" on smartphones and tablet devices when it exceeds a certain length.

    I thought you might have tested it as it is your theme ! ... Simply a case of a fresh wordpress installation > install the latest version of Fusion .... just change the copyright text to the below and check it on an Ipad and Iphone .... broken .... Try the exact text I did if you don't want to bother writing your own ... below ...

    © 2014 Clearline. All rights reserved. Clearline Business Consultants Ltd. Registered in England and Wales. Company No: 1234567. Registered Office: 552-554 Bristol Rd, Selly Oak, Birmingham B29 6BD. VAT Reg No: GB 559 2253 26 Site By Workflows

    So, as this wasn't forthcoming ... I did it myself ... a completely fresh installation of wordpress ... activate lastest Fusion theme ... add the copyright text .... check on Iphone ...

    Here is the demo site that I set up to test your Fusion theme: http://workflows-demo.me/

    I can confirm that the Fusion theme has a bug wrt the Copyright Text in the subfooter on mobile devices.

    Can you advise me please. My client requires a subfooter that works on mobiles

    Many Thanks Mark

    EDIT ... Iphone .. problem appears on safari and Opera but not on Mobile Chrome

  16. Hi Elliot,

    Did you get to test the Fusion them to clarify this problem?

    Just add the above string to the Copyright text .... Just grab an Iphone .... fire up the website ... and there's your problem.

    Would you be kind enough to respond please. I'd be most grateful.

    Regards Mark

  17. Hi Everyone,

    On looking at this problem I note that the specific problem is with the Fusion theme when in Responsive mode.
    On a desktop looking at the problem in Firebug/Chrome Inspect Element then we see the wrap problem if there is enough text to warrant a next line.
    The Fusion theme behaves differently than the other themes ... I compared Fusion with Persuasion and the heart of the problem is this bit of code:

    .mysite_responsive #sub_footer_inner {
    width: 90%;
    position: relative;
    }

    The solution is to apply this code to the mobile custom css area and utilise the theme with "Make My Site Responsive For Mobile Devices"

    I hope the devs add this code into the Fusion theme in Future

    Regards Mark
