Contact Form Emails

    Is there a template to modify the formatting of the email that gets sent from contact forms? Curious if I can modify the HTML layout of the email.
    For example, I'd like to include our organization's logo in the email using <img src="#" /> formatting.

    Hello bigmojo,

    If you escape the HTML you use in our shortcode I think it should send fine.

    I'm not sure I made myself clear or not, but I do believe you're referring to escaping html in the autoresponder?
    To give you an idea of what I wanted:

    Let's say the contact form is designed to send an email to me from a web visitor. The email that I receive is one that I would like to "brand" so-to-speak. If that's what you are explaining to me, then please excuse my misinterpretation.... and if you are I'm not entirely sure what part of the shortcode would allow me to edit the way the form is presented to me when I receive it via email.

    However, I will take this path for the autoresponder emails definitely.

    That would take a lot of customization. Have you considered checking out a plugin? Gravity forms is the most advanced contact form plugin that I know of,

    We may utilize Gravity Forms at some point actually because of the logic. Thanks for the tip. My concern initially with Gravity Forms is the same as Contact Form 7 -- which is I 'assume' that I would have to generate a contact form for each separate recipient (tedious as I have built a directory to display on the front end based on my WordPress users). Alternatively, it's just really easy to use WP's do_shortcode function on a template in combination with MSMW's contact shortcode to dynamically populate the recipient's address ($user->user_email);

    (After doing some reading I see that I can probably add parameters to either plugin to generate the recipient's email address and only use one single form.)

    I'm okay with not being able to do what I wanted to in my original question with MSMW contact forms if I can accomplish it using a plugin as long as I can do it with limited contact forms being manually created.

    Thank you, Elliott.
