    I cannot view the comments on any on any page of my website. I have the "Allow Comments" option selected and no matter who comments, they do not appear on the site; however, the recent comments widget notes that someone has commented. Any thoughts would be much appreciated!

    Thanks!

    Hello Redef1ned,

    I'm not exactely sure why this is happening. There is only one way I could assist you with this problem. Provide me your FTP login information and the URL of the site in a PM (NOT HERE!), and I'll take a look at it.

    @Redef1ned and @Uniq,

    Sorry for the confusion.

    That was bug resolved in version 1.2 of Awake which you can download from your "Downloads" tab on Themeforest.

    You can find the changelog here:

    I have version 1.2 of Awake running, but I still can't view any comments. I also can't view my site title or the title I created for my meta widget. Also, none of my widget appear to be working properly. When I use the "Contact Us" Widget and enter in my email...it just provides gibberish. The version of wordpress prior to 1.2 was working fine for me with the exception of the comments not displaying on any of my pages. Now....I can't view comments, widgets, and when I do type something....such as customizing my headers....that doesn't show up or shows up incorrectly.

    Suggestions?

    Hello Redef1ned,

    1. Try redownloading Awake and copying it to your theme directory.
    2. Try Deactivating / Reactivating your theme.
    3. If you are using plugins then try deactivating them 1 by 1 to see if the issue is fixed.

    Could you post a link to your site for us?

    Hello all,

    I had the same problem and this is what the website-builders themself told me (and it worked!):

    Hi ellenuser,
    Open up the following file on your server:
    wp-content/themes/awake/page.php
    And replace line # 40 with this:
    <?php comments_template('', true); ?>
    Let us know if it resolves this.

    @ellenuser, this was actually a bug that was fixed in 1.2, thanks for the help though!

    @Redef1ned, I'm glad we got your site title and widgets fixed. As for the comments after you reinstall Awake if they still do not show up then try flushing out your browser cache and the cache of any plugins you have installed.

    Hey,

    So i reinstalled 1.2 twice and I flushed out everything to no success. It registers that there is a comment.....but no text appears. I have tried this on 4 browsers: safari, opera, ff, and chrome. Also, comments work when I switch to the original wp theme and other free themes. For some reason, its only when i switch to this one that makes the comments not visible.

    Hi Redef1ned,

    You can still hand in to me your FTP / WP login information so I can take a look at this, anytime.

    Hey,

    I just noticed this....but on the bottom of my themes page..it says that my theme is broken and that I am missing a stylesheet. Could this be the problem? I re-downloaded Awake 1.2 multiple times already. So I dont know whats going on...

    So I had the same deal with mine, and used the tip from ellenuser to fix the comments on PAGES. However, the comments on blog posts are still not showing up. I checked the code on single.php and it was the same as the update ellenuser mentioned, so it should be worky no?

    Except it's no worky.

    Is there a lot of important stuff other than this in the 1.2 version? Because I modded everything to the gills and am not too hyped to go back in and redo all of this.

    Hey micke,

    It is always best to go with the latest version as there will be a lot of fixed bugs. If you want a detailed list of what was changed then please refer to the link that Webtreats has posted above.

    Let us know if this helps.

    @Redef1ned,

    Hello Redef1ned, when you update your theme make sure that you completely delete your previous theme and then copy over the freshly downloaded one. Also make sure to clear your browser cache and any cache that your plugins might be using.

    If the problem still persists then give us a link so we can take a look. Let us know if you get it working.

    Elliott,

    I realized that when I was uninstalling wordpress form my hosting account, it didn't take away all of the wp folders. So when I went back and deleted everything...IT WORKED!!!

    Thank you so much for all of your assistance! You made me a very happy person!

    Glad you got it worked Redef1ned. A lot of users have problems with this actually as they will copy and paste in the theme folder and some files will not be copied over correctly.
