Only when browsing in chrome do I see this issue... Everything looks 100% good, then I will switch to another tab to lets say check my email or whatever, if I am gone from my website tab long enough for the home page slider to go through a full cycle it appears as if the sliders are laying on top of each other. Refer to picture attached... What could be the cause of this?

I just noticed this also but am not sure what could be causing it. I'll notify our devs and we'll get something worked out here soon.
I've heard about this issue before.
It should have something to do with the usage of requestAnimationFrame in jQuery 1.6
That's all I know :)
You're right Raspo. I found this on the docs over at jQuery:
Because of the nature of requestAnimationFrame(), you should never queue animations using a setInterval or setTimeout loop. In order to preserve CPU resources, browsers that support requestAnimationFrame will not update animations when the window/tab is not displayed. If you continue to queue animations via setInterval or setTimeout while animation is paused, all of the queued animations will begin playing when the window/tab regains focus. To avoid this potential problem, use the callback of your last animation in the loop, or append a function to the elements .queue() to set the timeout to start the next animation.
Unfortunately the jQuery tools slideshow plugin we use does use setInterval to queue animations:
Hopefully jQuery tools updates this in their newest version.
thanks for info guys, will just use the slide animation for now, works fine
Hello everyone, thanks for your patience.
Our devs have created a fix for this.
1. Delete the following file,
2. Download the attached zip file and extract into your desktop to receive a new
3. Upload this new file into
We'll include this in the next update but for now you can use this as a quick fix.
This solved the issue, thanks!
Is tabs.min.js updated in version 2.9? Still having the problem in IE7 with 2.9, so the questions is: should I upgrade tabs.min.js, or would I downgrade to an older version by doing so?Posted 2 years ago #
As long as your using the latest versions of Wordpress and the theme then you don't need this. Create a backup, completely delete your theme from the theme folder and download / upload a fresh copy.
Also be sure to deactivate your plugins while testing.Posted 2 years ago #
Elliott, Is this fix still in play? I'm having the same issue but per another call, can't tell if I'm on the current version of Persuasion.
If your using the latest versions of Wordpress, theme, and web browser then it shouldn't be happening. You can view Persuasions changelog here, http://mysitemyway.com/docs/index.php/Persuasion_Changelog.
What is the current ver. of Persuasion? My Downloads doesn't show the ver. that is in the download area.
Well the change log says 2.2 so I assume I'm not on current version. I wish the download page said what version was available for download. Make things easier to identify and track.
will report back if not fixed.
That's harder because we work with premium themes (and those you see warnings are the free themes from wp's open repository). But we're working on improvements on this.
