Changing Number of Widgets in Footer

    I've searched the forums but can't seem to find exactly what I'm looking for. inFocus comes with 5 default footer widgets. Is there a way to easily change the number of widgets in the footer? I only want three equally sized widgets right now, but may wish to add (or subtract) in the future.

    How would one go about doing this? (Even if it requires code tweaking of some sort) Thanks!

    Hello,

    Go to the theme folder and open the file "footer.php".

    In line #10, replace this code:

    <div class="two_third"><div class="content">

    With this one:

    <div class="one_third"><div class="content">

    In line #26, replace this code:

    <div class="one_fourth">

    With this one:

    <div class="one_third">

    In line #39, replace this code:

    <div class="one_fourth">

    With:

    <div class="one_third last">

    Finally, delete the code in lines #52 to #63.

    Now, only the first 3 widgets of the footer will show up in three boxes.

    Sorry for not replying sooner! I tried this, but it just stacks the first three and then has the contact widget. I'd like the "Testimonials" "Connect" and "Email Us" to be the three widgets... Any thoughts? Here's the site: http://www.nedparks.com

    Thanks!

    Ned, check out this thread, you will find the necessary code near the bottom of the page. But read through it to see. http://mysitemyway.com/support/topic/3-columns-in-footer-infocus-wp There is a link to the Awake three widget footer.

    Here is another one that you can try nedparks, http://mysitemyway.com/support/topic/how-do-i-remove-widget-areas-from-the-footer, in case you decide you wish to change it to 4 columns, etc etc.

    Hello, me again: I wanna do exactly the same but only end up with TWO equally-sized footer widgets at the end. How do I change the above code for that?

    thx

    Hello moditz,

    I just checked your site and you have three widgets setup. Try clearing your browser cache and refresh any caching related plugins you might have installed.

    ...besides clearing the cache, what else do I need to change? When I remove on widget, so I have only to left, still 3 will appear.

    Oh I understand now. See my post here moditz, http://mysitemyway.com/support/topic/how-do-i-remove-widget-areas-from-the-footer#post-6179.

    You just need to delete one of the footer widgets in the code and switch the classes to "one_half". The post above will explain it all.

    If your still having trouble with it let us know.
