    Hello,
All my photos on my portfolio page have a description above the photo. I have used the fancy images short code for all of them. On one photo I had wanted to include a link in the description. I thought I had the code set up correctly for the link as it did show up but then all of the copy has disappeared.
I don't understand why it showed up and then it would disappear. (For the time being I have replaced it with copy without the link info as I don't want to leave the description area blank since it is live.)
Here's the copy that keeps disappearing:
Client website custom design. An existing template (left) completely customized for an interior design firm (right) using WordPress."]http://www.fnefskydesign.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/gail-customized-blk2.jpg[/image]

    website: fnefskydesign.com

    thanks!

    Hello franne,

That's inside a shortcode? You need to remove any tags inside the quotes.

    Hi Elliott,
So does that mean I would be unable to use a link feature within my short code or does it mean I can't use the underline and italic feature? or what exactly would I remove? Below is the title of that photo and uses the "strong" feature and it shows up fine.

    [image alt="WEBSITE CUSTOMIZING

    thanks,
    Franne

Yes, there should only be text inside the quotes.

Ok I understand that. So is there any code that can be used within the short code that would let me do a link?
    thanks again

Our image shortcodes already have an option for adding a link, http://mysitemyway.com/docs/index.php?title=Image_Frames.
