Can't edit CSS for Call to Action Font

    Hi:

    I have the Grunge theme. I've tried to edit the color of the Call to Action Font in the regular and advanced editors. However, no luck.

    I checked to be sure I had the caching on the website turned off (and I did).

    Using FireBug in FireFox, the tag appeared to be #intro h3. In the grunge.css, I found:
    #slider_module+#intro h3{/*:Call to Action Font*/
    color:#888;font-size:24px;font-weight:normal;font-style:normal;font-family:klill;}

    Am I just looking at the wrong tag?

    Hello indymediaartists,

    I think that Persuasion has a cufon gradient on that area which is why the color is not changing.

    Try this out, http://mysitemyway.com/docs/index.php/Awake_Cufon_colors, the instructions are for Awake but the same steps apply to Persuasion.

    Hi. Thanks.

    However, this is what I see (below). I'm not sure what to change so the Call to Action text will appear as either black (#000) or white (#FFF):

    .intro_title,.slide_title{line-height:140%;}
    #intro .intro_title{/*:Cufon 1 */
    /*fontFamily: 'colaboratethin',
    color: '-linear-gradient(#fff,#f9f9f9, #bbb)',
    textShadow: '1px 2px rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.25), 0px -1px rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.1)',*/}
    #intro .teaser{letter-spacing:1.2px;line-height:30px;}
    #intro .teaser span{background:url(grunge/black30.png) repeat;padding:2px 0}

    body>.multibg>.multibg{position:absolute;}
    #header{-webkit-box-shadow:0 1px 0 rgba(255,255,255,0.05),0 -1px 0 rgba(0,0,0,0.6);-moz-box-shadow:0 1px 0 rgba(255,255,255,0.05),0 -1px 0 rgba(0,0,0,0.6);box-shadow:0 1px 0 rgba(255,255,255,0.05),0 -1px 0 rgba(0,0,0,0.6);}
    #body_inner{border-top:3px solid rgba(0,0,0,0.5);}
    .jqueryslidemenu ul ul{opacity:0.95;}
    .jqueryslidemenu ul ul a:hover,#footer li a:hover{background:url(grunge/white10.png);background:rgba(255,255,255,.05);}

    It's this line,

    .intro_title,.slide_title{line-height:140%;}
    #intro .intro_title{/*:Cufon 1 */
    /*fontFamily: 'colaboratethin',
    color: '-linear-gradient(#fff,#f9f9f9, #bbb)',
    textShadow: '1px 2px rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.25), 0px -1px rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.1)',*/}
    #intro .teaser{letter-spacing:1.2px;line-height:30px;}
    #intro .teaser span{background:url(grunge/black30.png) repeat;padding:2px 0}

    Instead of modifying the grunge.css file by overwriting it, I created a new one called grunge_edit.

    Then, I activated the file and changed some of the hex #s in that line of code you highlighted. I didn't see anything change (at first) even after emptying the WordPress cache and my browser cache.

    So, I re-activated the original grunge.css file. All of a sudden my fonts have totally changed! Remember, this is from the original grunge file where I made no changes.

    Any ideas?

    I would say it was a cache issue. It's working fine now correct?

    No. In fact I cleared all my cache (I even turned off W3 Total Cache) and cleared the cache on my browers.

    It's weird. I don't know what caused it. I didn't do anything to change the font family/style.

    OK. All of a sudden everything is back like it was.

    That's cool, but I still have not been able to change the Call to Action font to either black or white. Can you tell me specifically what to change?

    Alrighty instead of editing the hex colors go ahead and delete that line and send us a link to your page so we can take a closer look.

    OK. Sent it to you in a PM.

    So, you want me to delete: color: '-linear-gradient(#fff,#f9f9f9, #bbb)'

    Sorry to be a pain! :-)

    I have deleted: color: '-linear-gradient(#fff,#f9f9f9, #bbb)' from the CSS file. No change.

    Got it fixed. I just added: #intro H3{color:#FFF;}

    Thanks.
