    OK Forgive me if this is way out to left field in terms of way to complicated. While checking out the inFocus theme I really took a liking to the Showcase gallery style. Awakes many gallery options are close but not quite like the inFocus showcase.

    I was wondering, What If I bought inFocus and attempted to install the script it used for the showcse, and installed it to the scripts directory in my awake theme.

    Is that just way to custom or just a crazy job to even attempt. I didn't know if there would be to many differences in paths and the way in which things get caled ect.

    Doesn't hurt to ask I figure, OK you can stop laughing at my noobishness now lol.

    Mike.

    Hello Mike,

    When you say showcase are you talking about the slider? portfolio gallery?

    They are both pretty much the same with Awake being a little more advanced. Let us know exactly what you would like to change (functionality, styling, etc etc) and we'll see what we can do.

    Howdy thanks for the quick reply. OK if you go to the demo site for inFocus and look at the gallery called a "Showcase" in infocus here: http://themes.mysitemyway.com/infocus/gallery/showcase/

    you notice that it has buttons instead of the text links for read more and visit site like Awake has. Also I was really liking the option to put that h3 text above the buttons as you see on that inFocus page.

    So really what inFocus has that I like was the buttons instead of the text links, and the h3 text above the buttons.

    I mean if it's getting like to much work I'll just suck it up and be happy with what I have on Awake.

    EDIT: changed link to mysiteway so it takes you right to the showcase page.

    Yes that is possible, open up /wp-content/themes/awake/lib/functions/shortcode.php and on lines 141 - 142 you should see this,

    if(!$read_more_disable){ $out .= '[raw]<a class="fancy_link" href="' .$permalink. '"><span>Read More</span></a>[/raw]'; }
    if($portfolio_link){ $out .= '[raw]&nbsp;<a class="fancy_link target_blank" href="' .$portfolio_link. '"><span>Visit Site</span></a>[/raw]'; }

    Change them like this,

    if(!$read_more_disable){ $out .= '[raw]<a class="button_link" href="' .$permalink. '"><span>Read More</span></a>[/raw]'; }
    if($portfolio_link){ $out .= '[raw]&nbsp;<a class="button_link target_blank" href="' .$portfolio_link. '"><span>Visit Site</span></a>[/raw]'; }

    This will change the links to buttons. As for the h3 it should appear above the buttons by default. If possible then send us a link to your site so we can take a closer look.

    SWEET! Buttons work great. Elliott others have said it, you deserve a huge raise man! That helped me more than you know learn whats going on here. I apologize I did indeed have the H3 text it was just a different color and I didn't notice it too much so it's good there.

    SO Now after inspecting in Firebug it appears I can find the styles for everything in their css files and change colors and other things.
    I think you can close this topic, I have only to change the size of the portfolio default image size that appears on the posts, but I think I can figure that one out myself.

    on a more personal note I'm sure many here including myself don't mean to take advantage of your good nature in how far your willing to go across that fine line of support VS doing someones custom work for them, so HUGE thank you sir. I think you deserve some major recognition around here for the value you provide to the support team. I have read many posts here now and I am amazed at your patience. THANK YOU!!

    In case your still having trouble then I think the image that you are looking for is in /wp-content/themes/awake/lib/includes/template-portfolio-single.php on line 41,

    $portfolio_full = webtreats_image_resize($height=516,$width=882,$portfolio_full); ?>

    You can try changing the values there to resize it with different dimensions.

    Glad that worked for you Mike, we consider small customizations like these included with your purchase. Let us know if you have any other questions.
