I set one of may pages to be the blog from the DejaVu admin panel. When I browse to it I get a 500 error.
If I go into the writing settings in wordpress and set the static posts page to that page as well it does not error but I get a blank page.

As soon as I delete all the posts the blog page displays.
If I add a post, it gives me a 500 error.

Hello Lawrencepepper,
A 500 internal server error is usually something to do with your server. Contact your hosting provider and let them know about this, perhaps they are using an outdated version of PHP.
This is my server, I am running the current version of PHP as well as MYSQL.
If this is a server issue, why then does the blog page display when there are no posts but does not when there is.
I have no issues with 6 other wordpress themes running on this server.

Deactivate all plugins and make sure your using the latest versions of Wordpress and Dejavu.
If your still having issues then send us a private message by clicking on the "PM this user" link beneath our usernames. It's most likely some kind of server configuration though.
I have no plugins activated, I am using the latest version of both wordpress and Dejavue.

OK,
I completely re-installed from scratch. Blew the database away, everything. Started new.
Did nothing but set the blog page and add a post.
When you browse to the blog page. Just a blank screen
When you put the URL of the post itself into the browser directly it shows:
Blog page: http://test.gen-techno.com/?page_id=4 (blank page)
Post: http://test.gen-techno.com/?p=6 (post renders)
Something is wrong. Please help or this theme is useless to me.
