blog based on category; page titles on posts wrong, archives not filtered

I have a blog called Press Releases and now we're attempting to add a more conversational blog called Blog. We have articles in both categories.

I created a page with a shortcode for the new blog list and added it to a menu.

    http://www.guidestarclinical.com/media-center/blog/

If I click on any of the articles in the Blog, the header incorrectly says Press Releases.

The archives in the sidebar also shows articles from either category.

I have tried to create a file category-17.php per a tutorial but it doesn't seem to make any difference.

    Hello gvaughan67,

Remove your "Press Releases" page from the blog page setting in Dashboard -> your theme -> Blog and use the shortcode for that as well.

    That changed some things...

Now the page header shows the title of the blog post. I wish it was the blog Category (or even better, the title and teaser of the page with the blog shortcode on it that encompasses the post).

Breadcrumbs also don't reflect the menu section, and category.

Archives don't filter by category, but maybe I can sell that as not a bug but a feature.

It should display the page title / teaser. http://mysitemyway.com/docs/index.php?title=Page_Options#Intro_options

The page with the blog shortcode properly displays title and teaser. The problem is when you click the Read More button on a post intro, the full page view of the post has the post's headline as the title and headline. I'd rather give someone the feeling that they are still in that particular blog.

    Example: Go here http://www.guidestarclinical.com/media-center/press-releases/
Silver bar says "Press Releases The latest news from GuideStar." (title/teaser)
click Read More on the first article
Silver bar says post title, which is duplicated in headline. I want it to say "Press Releases The latest news from GuideStar." But would settle for Category name. This is how the blog works when configured on Infocus/Blog/Blog Page but not if invoked by a shortcode with Infocus/Blog/Blog Page cleared.

When you edit the post you can change the intro settings as well.
