Blog Background Transparency + "Sidebar" that won't go away

  1. I would like to change the background of my blog posts to be transparent or white, but can't find how to in the skin editor. Is it possible to change the "more" button color too?

    Additionally, how do I remove the 'sidebar' from next to the blog posts - editing the post itself to be a full width post doesn't fix it, and my footer is disabled,

    Then, the comment box/related post thing. It's also grey and I can't seem to do a thing about it in the skin editor.

    Thanks for your time with all my questions =)

    Hello anna.sutton,

    As for the sidebar, update your theme to the latest version and you can change this in Dashboard -> your theme -> Specialty Pages, http://mysitemyway.com/docs/index.php?title=Specialty_Pages.

    It looks like your site has already undergone some customization so send us a link to your page and we'll take a look.

  3. Hi Elliott - Thanks for your response. The sidebar was fixable within the skin editor just like you suggested.

    Here's a link to the page: http://www.sunglassesandsunglasses.com

    I've got the blog posts displaying on the home page but the grey background needs to be white or transparent. If you then click through by clicking "Prescription Ski Goggles" you can see at the bottom of the post is the grey comment section. This also needs to be white/transparent. In the Skin Editor I've changed all the "form" options to my color scheme but it didn't seem to affect this section.

    Thanks!

  4. One more quick question - the + next to each parent menu item is invisible with this color scheme. Is there a way to make the + darker and more visible?

    Look on line 255 in /wp-content/themes/myriad/style.css for the background,

    .blog_layout1,.blog_layout3{background:url(styles/_rgba/black30.png);background:rgba(0,0,0,0.3);margin:-30px;margin-bottom:0;}

    And for the comments its line 381.

    For the menu icons you'll want to look in /wp-content/themes/myriad/images/assets/.
