Background Image Not Resizing Properly

    Hi, when I set my body background image to 998px wide...it always seems to resize and become smaller when I view the site on my laptop. I realize the background image is resizing dynamically based on my screen resolution...

    Since the theme is responsive, I don't want the background image to have fixed dimensions. I just want the main content area, which is 998px, to always have a light background behind it and then the Page Margins to have a graphical background. How can I accomplish this?

    Thanks

    Hi, please take a look at http://www.engagerocketx.com...

    You'll notice that the silver portion of the background is too small. This silver portion is 998px in the background I created, but its showing up smaller on my screen.

    Add this to your custom CSS,

    body { background-color: silver !important; }

    Please visit my website and you'll see that the left & right page margins are black...

    How can I keep these black margins, while keeping the middle portion of the body silver? Right now, the problem is that the silver portion of my background is too small. Its not displaying at 998px, even though its supposed to be 998px...

    The MAIN problem is that my current background is resizing dynamically and becoming smaller.

    That's the #content_inner div and it's set to 960px. You can find the CSS for it in /wp-content/themes/[your_theme]/style.css.
