    Hi - is it possible to add a different background color for one column of a multi-column layout?

    Hello maryplum,

    You'll need to output the HTML instead of the shortcode and use inline styling like so,

    <div class = "one_half" style = "background: yellow;">

    HI Elliot

    I gave this a try, but it did not seem to work for me. Since I am using vertical tabs on the right, the grey left side extends to the right depending on the length of the text on the right (if the text is not long enough in a specific tab, the grey will extend over to the right side).

    Ideally I would like the entire one_third_last section to be this color grey: #b8b8b8. In other words, I would like the grey to extend to the left side of the website so there is no white showing.

    I am currently using the code you mentioned above:
    <div class = "one_third_last" style = "background: silver;">

    Do I have other options?

    Thank you for your help.

    It should be,

    <div class = "one_third last">

    Make sure to separate the one_third and last classes.
