    Hello ydaria83,

    Try adding this line in your style.css file,

    #header { width: 100% !important; }

    Next you will want to edit the /styles/[your_theme]/menu.png image and stretch it or create your own tileable header image to use as the menu background. It can get pretty complex though depending on what you what to do so for best results it would be best to hire a freelancer.

    Let us know if this helps.

    Elliot,
    That worked very well, thank you. I have been looking where to add some html code in the existing pages such as the home page, I want to add some more code and make the menu kind of the way that I want it. Where can I accomplish this? Thanks a lot. (I am a web/graphic designer but I apologize my Wordpress experience is just starting)

    Thanks!

    It depends on what you are wanting to do. If you want to add some HTML in the header then you would edit the /wp-content/themes/awake/header.php file.

    For "just" the homepage you would edit the /wp-content/themes/awake/index.php file.

    Let us know if you need any more info.

    Hello,

    Firstly, I would like to say that the Awake theme is a great product of yours and well done for it. :)

    Secondly, please may I ask where to paste this code: #header { width: 100% !important; }? I`m trying to make my main navigation bar wider in order to be able to sqeeze one more category with sub-categories up there.

    Unless you guys have a different idea how to do it (my site`s url http://www.polishlanguage.org.uk/).

    Thank you in advance.

    Kind regards,

    Hello crouchjane,

    I don't think you can fit anymore in there without messing up your page.

    Try adding this line in the bottom of /wp-content/themes/awake/style.css,

    #menu_navigation { left: -60px; width: 1100px; }

    Hi Elliot,

    Hm, Im afraid it didnt work for me.

    Can you see what my problem is? When you hover up "Courses in the UK" and try to get to sub-menus the first one ("Central London") becomes transparent and shows "Children`s corner". There is an explanation for that; I have lowered the navigation menu to gain another line for my categories naively thinking that it was going to work. :(

    Please can you think of something else?

    By the way, cheers for you response. :)

    If we make it any larger then it would scroll off the page with 1024 x 768 resolutions.

    You can try a smaller font size or refactoring your words so there is not that much text in each link.

    I`m trying font size 9px and I have removed Home category but it still has not created enough room for the last category. I cannot go any lower with padding because it is already 8px.

    Is there any way to move all these category names a bit more to the left? Would it change anything?

    You can move them more to the left with this line,

    #menu_navigation { left: -60px; width: 1100px; }

    Just play around with the values until something fits.

    Did you say to place this code right in the bottom of style.css? Is there any space between this code and the last one in that file?

    Sorry to bother you so much but I`m still developing my css skills. ;)

    It is the same line I posted before, you just need to add it at the bottom and play around with the value "60".
