    Hi Guys,
Uploaded the theme and was working well. uploaded a media file and tried to place in the slider. Theme stopped working and access to admin area hunhg. Deleted photos and trie=d again. No luck.

Deleted the theme and installed a fresh download. Provide with access to admin successful until I tried to launch the theme. Access lost to all areas until I deleted the theme and tried again.

Default and inFocus themes working OK.

A point of observation - when I reinstalled the Awake theme and went in to the dashboard the original settings on the Awake Theme Settings were still there.

    Help please.

    Roy

  2. Hi Roy,
do you get any error when installing the theme?

Your theme may be corrupted, try re-downloading it from ThemeForest.

If this doesn't help, PM me the login info to your WP admin and FTP and I'll look into it.

  3. Hi Roy,
the plugin PhotoSmash was in conflict with Awake, after deactivating this plugin, the admin area started to work.

BTW, I don't know what host are you using, but that site is soooo slow

Does this mean that I cannot use Photosmash within Awake?

Contacted Godady who decided that the htaccess file should be amended to htaccess.bak - the site is still slow and the htaccess file reappears and acces is unavailable.

Cannot get access to pages other than the home page - 'The requested URL /welcome-3/ was not found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.'

Have Googled the error and one suggestion is thyat it is a Permalink issue which can be resolved by restating the preferenec after changing the file permissions on htaccess file. All issues seem to relate to the htaccess file - any thoughts?

Just an update - have tried inFocus and all pages accessible.and read elsewhere that the htaccess file is created when a change is made to the permalink.

Howevr the site is still slow and would like guidance on whether these issues arte related and if I should consult Godaddy again.

  6. Hi Tuffareo,
yes, I can confirm what you read about the htaccess.
You should definitely contact Godaddy about the slowness of the site.

About the Photosmash plugin I'm afraid you won't be able to use it, unless you find someone that can fix the compatibility issue in the javascript.

Sorry misled you here - pages are available in inFocus but not in Awake so it has to be a theme issue rather than a hosting one.

  8. Hi Tuffareo,
are you saying that pages don't work at all with awake?

That's very strange... you could try disabling all the plugins and see if anything changes.

If it doesn't help, I'll have to flag this topic for Webtreats, cause I've no clue at the moment.
I know about a problem with Godaddy in inFocus, but nothing about awake

The home page was working so I disabled all plug ins and tried the Godady fix but now I am unable to reach the home page using awake.

There is nothing showing on the server logs

    Hi Tuffareo,

Sorry to hear about your issues with Awake and GoDaddy.
These issue are most likely related to WordPress and GoDaddy though.

GoDaddy has a long history of issues regarding WordPress's custom permalinks and overall site speed, as you can see by the WordPress support forum links below:

    http://wordpress.org/search/godaddy%2Bslow?forums=1
    http://wordpress.org/search/godaddy%2Bpermalinks?forums=1

    Try this fix here:

If the above fix doesn't work private messages us here:

With a temp WordPress user that has admin access and FTP access to your server and we'll take a closer look and see if there has been something that has been overlooked.

    Hi Tuffareo,
I was able to get your site to load by switching your "Permalink Settings" to "Default".

Unfortunately I'm not sure what the issue could be, but it does seem to be related to GoDaddy and custom permalink.

I found these links on WordPress's support fourms:

    Hopefully they will help.
