I've followed the instructions as best I could on this page:

but I need a little help because I'm lost. Here's what I need to accomplish on this page:

1.Move the slider (now smaller at 600x242 pixels) to the right side of the blue area

    2. Place a title and text block to its left

    3. Add the shadow below and behind the slider as it was with the "Floating" preset

    Thanks for your help!

    Hi Elliot,

Thanks for your gracious invitation to post what I need help with. You might regret giving me that option. :-)

I’ve prepped a screenshot with big numbers on it to show you want I want to accomplish. It may be more than you’re willing to tackle. Help me with the things that won’t require major code alterations. I’ll wrestle with the rest of it.

    Here's the screenshot:

Here's the active rough draft of the site:

This is using the Persuasion theme:

    1. I want a text block with headline as shown in the blue area. If there’s a way to drop in CSS code in the editor that’s enough. It doesn’t have to be integrated into the theme’s files.

    2. In reducing the size of the slider, changes are required for margin/padding for the area below the blue background. The theme uses a simple light gray behind the “More than 4 decades ...” line. I want to match the pattern used in the Outre at the bottom.

    3. I have reduced the size of the slider to 600x242px and it works fine, but I cannot properly align it as shown in the mock up, and I’ve lost the shadow under the images. I’m using the Nivo slider and “Floating” as the style.

    4. Default set up only allows me the headline and a featured image for the home page posts. I need to show more of it in text larger than the default. Each post excerpt needs “More ...” added that links to the full post.

    5. You’ve got good testimonial formats, but I need a simpler one as shown.

    6. The client wants all background art to end at the left and right edge of the container so the site rests on a pure white background. Is there a way to do this with one bit of code that overwrites all others or must it be done for the individual elements?

    7. Is there a simple way to control the size/color of headlines, text, and images with CSS within the footer’s individual widget areas that formats incoming dynamic content? Example: If I wanted Footer Widget Areas 1 and 5 to be formatted one way and the others to be formatted by the defaults, is there an easy way to do that?

Thanks for your time and expertise. This is my first experience using MSMW themes. I bought the bundle and look forward to a long-term relationship with your company. I’m very impressed with the themes yet little overwhelmed with the myriad of choices. I’ll survive the labor pains with your help!
