Additional Cufon fonts

   Hi again,

   Some background. I run a bi-lingual website in English and Japanese with the awake theme. When translating pages into Japanese, the header fonts (h1, h2, h3 etc) used in standard text, menus etc doesn't appear when cufon is enabled. When I disable cufon, all text shows however it appears rather grainy in Japanese.

   I wish to utilise the cufon JavaScript fonts for both languages, and have found cufon Japanese font online. Having downloaded the zip file, my question is how do I incorporate it into the theme?

   Hi,

   Could you please tell us which version of Awake you are using?

   Also, do you want to have a specific font for western language, and another one for japanese? Or just one that will work with both languages?

   Hi Ruderic,

   Many thanks for your reply. I recently updated to the new version of Awake 2.0. I'm happy with the basic framework that is being used by webtreats for standard western text. Regarding Japanese language, MS P Gothic and/or hiragano family appears to be the most popular online of all the different fonts, though in all honesty it is not a huge dilemma. Just to get both fonts working as intended would be great.

   Hello IntMilkBrilliant,

   You can also try taking a look at the WP Google Fonts plugin, http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-google-fonts/. It utilizes @font-face instead of cufon so it might give you better compatibility with special characters.

   I'll go ahead and mark this as resolved but feel free to open it back up if you have more questions.
