Adding Widget to Footer Teaser?

   I notice the footer teaser is simple text set from the admin backend.
   Is it possible to have a widget in here instead?

   I was thinking about a random testimonial showing here..
   Perhaps using something like 'Collision Testimonials' plugin..

   I'll look a bit deeper myself, but just thought I'd ask in case there's an easy workaround.

   Hi mytzlplik,

   The footer teaser text admin option will except shortcodes. If the "Collision Testimonials" plugin makes use of WordPress's shortcode function it should technically work.

   Hello,

   The testimonials box in the footer of this website is a widget made specifically for this situation.

   Please notice that this thread is a year old, so it's quite outdated.
