Adding Portfolios

   Help! I purchased the Awake theme and have gotten everything up and running except the portfolios. I've created 4 portfolio categories and created one test portfolio labeled (Photography). What am I doing wrong to get this to embed on the Photography page? I created a page, and inserted this code: [portfolio_grid cat="photography"]. It's not working. My site is http://www.flourishdesignphotos.com. Thanks so much!

   See here for how to create portfolio posts, http://mysitemyway.com/docs/index.php?title=Using_the_Portfolio. Make sure each one is set to a category and has a featured image set.

   Next you can edit a page and use our shortcode generator, http://mysitemyway.com/docs/index.php?title=Using_the_Shortcode_Generator, to insert our portfolio shortcodes into the page.

   Hello,

   When you create the portfolio Photography, do you take it in a categorie ?
   You must to check your portfolio in a categorie (on the right) to display it.

   Yep, I've done all that but it's not working correctly. I had read in the forum about making sure it's linked to a category so that's the first thing I did. Am I this part wrong?...
   After I have created my portfolio 'photography' that is linked to the portfolio category 'photography' I am adding a new page called photography, where I am inserting the code.

   Actually, here: http://www.flourishdesignphotos.com/portfolio/photography/ But how do I get it to show under Portfolios as the parent as "Photography" tab?

   You need to rename your portfolio page's permalink to something else besides /portfolio/. Wordpress thinks it's a custom post type and is why your getting the 404.

    Thanks Elliot! That worked better - not it just seems that the pictures are getting cropped and distorted. This is the code I put in (changing dimensions to the dimensions of my pics). These sliders seem buggy - or is it me?

    They are being resized correctly. Are you wanting to change the dimensions?

    I want this slider to be the same size as the home page - 980 wide by 420 tall, no cropping or scaling. Is this possible? If not, what size do I make the images to so that they don't crop or scale and they fill in the frame? Thanks!
